Welcome to Fine Craft Furniture. By accessing our website (www.finecraftfurniture.co.za) or purchasing our products, you agree to comply with and be bound by the terms and conditions outlined below.

If you disagree with any part of these Terms, please refrain from using our services.

2. General Terms

These Terms apply to all visitors, customers, and users of our website and physical showroom.
Fine Craft Furniture reserves the right to update, modify, or replace any part of these Terms at any time. Changes take effect immediately upon posting on the website.

By continuing to use our website or make a purchase after updates are posted, you agree to the revised terms.

3. Products & Custom Orders

All our furniture pieces are handcrafted. As such, variations in wood grain, colour, or fabric texture may occur. These are considered natural characteristics, not defects.

Custom Orders

  • All custom designs, measurements, and material selections must be confirmed in writing before production.

  • Once a custom order has begun production, it cannot be cancelled or refunded.

  • Custom items are built according to customer specifications and therefore excluded from standard returns.

4. Pricing & Payments

  • All prices are listed in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT unless otherwise stated.

  • Prices are subject to change without prior notice.

  • Full payment is required before any product is dispatched or delivered.

  • We accept payment via EFT (bank transfer) or other methods specified on our website.

Fine Craft Furniture reserves the right to refuse or cancel an order if fraud or unauthorized transactions are suspected.

5. Delivery Policy

  • Delivery is available across South Africa through approved courier partners.

  • Estimated delivery dates are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed due to variables such as production time, logistics, and courier delays.

  • The risk of loss or damage passes to the customer upon delivery or collection.

  • Any visible damage to packaging or goods must be reported within 24 hours of receipt.

6. Refunds & Returns

Our Refund & Returns Policy allows returns within 30 days of purchase, provided that:

  • The item is unused, undamaged, and in original packaging.

  • A valid receipt or proof of purchase is presented.

  • The product was not custom-made or modified.

Certain goods cannot be returned, including:

  • Custom-built furniture

  • Gift cards and sale items

  • Perishable or hygiene-related products

Refunds will only be processed once the item has been received and inspected by our quality control team.
Approved refunds will be paid to the original payment method within 7–10 business days.

7. Exchanges

We replace items only if they are defective or damaged upon delivery.
If you wish to exchange an item for the same one, please contact sales@finecraftfurniture.co.za within 7 days of delivery.

8. Warranty

Fine Craft Furniture provides a 12-month limited workmanship warranty, covering structural and manufacturing defects only.

The warranty excludes:

  • Normal wear and tear

  • Fabric fading due to sunlight

  • Damage caused by misuse, improper cleaning, or neglect

  • Modifications or repairs not authorized by Fine Craft Furniture

To submit a warranty claim, email sales@finecraftfurniture.co.za with photos, proof of purchase, and a description of the issue.

9. Cancellations

Orders may be cancelled before production starts.
Once materials have been cut or assembly has begun, the order becomes non-refundable.
Deposits for custom work are non-refundable once production has commenced.

10. Intellectual Property

All website content — including images, text, designs, product names, and branding — is the property of Fine Craft Furniture.
You may not copy, reproduce, or use any material without written permission.

11. Limitation of Liability

Fine Craft Furniture shall not be liable for:

  • Any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our products or website

  • Delays in delivery beyond our reasonable control

  • Misuse, improper installation, or alteration of products after purchase

Our maximum liability shall not exceed the purchase price of the product in question.

12. Privacy & Data Protection

We respect your privacy.
All customer information is collected, stored, and processed in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
Your personal details will never be sold or shared, except where necessary to complete your order (e.g., courier or payment processor).

13. Governing Law

These Terms and any disputes arising out of them shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
Any disputes will be resolved in a South African court of competent jurisdiction.
